Disney-Ideologie

What do Cinderella, The Lion King, and an FBI informant have in common? They all tell the same story: that the world is already arranged exactly as it should be. In five acts, film critic Wolfgang M. Schmitt takes apart the world's biggest fairy-tale empire, exposing how Disney turns social hierarchies into laws of nature, romanticizes upward mobility as a fairy tale, and portrays every revolt as a threat. An essay film that will make you see the most familiar images of your childhood in an entirely different light.
